Aboriginal Art is art created by the indigenous people of Australia.
Aboriginal art includes paintings on leaves, wood carvings, rock carvings, sculpture, and sand painting.
Many cave paintings are discovered at sacred sites, and use minimal colours - as they were often made from what was available locally.
Some famous Australian Aboriginal artists include Lena Nyadbi, Paddy Nyunkuny Bedford, Judy Watson, Gulumbu Yunupingu and John Mawurndjul.
There are two museums in the world devoted exclusively to Australian Aboriginal art: the Museum of Contemporary Aboriginal Art located in Holland, and the Kluge-Ruhe Collection of the University of Virginia.
